Job Description
Job Summary
The Accountant will manage the accounting process and ensure the integrity and reporting accuracy of the organization’s financial results. The Accountant will prepare financial reports and present feedback and recommendations to management. The Accountant will conduct analysis to estimate financial outcomes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day accounting and drive process improvement.
- Manage the monthly accounting close efficiently and accurately.
- Review and post all journal entries ensuring completeness and accuracy.
- Develop, improve and prepare monthly payroll, financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements and cash flow to provide accurate and timely reporting and analysis.
- Prepare general ledger account settlements.
- Perform cost analysis and calculate accruals as needed.
- Prepare schedules and assist with annual audits with “internal and external auditors”.
- Document, archive and analyze workflow to generate process improvements.
- Conduct financial analysis and prepare reports as needed.
- Conduct legal settlement and reporting requirements to ensure compliance with local laws.
- Monitor cash balances and audit accounts payable payments to ensure accuracy.
- Review and collect cash from customers for projects accruals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Strong knowledge of accounting concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Strong administrative skills, organizational ability and proficiency in Microsoft word and Excel.
- Very good written, verbal communication skills and effective problem solving skills.
- Multi-tasking and detail-oriented approach is a must.
- Ability to work independently as well as with a team.
- English proficiency required (in reading, writing and speaking).
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
- Two to Four years of experience in accounting or auditing field.
- NOC or previous experience in Qatar.
- Arabic speakers only.
