Job Description
The primary focus of the Senior PHP Developer is to create and maintain systems and web applications written in PHP.
Responsibilities
- Deliver on time by juggling multiple competing demands
- Create and manage our web portal and backend
- Work efficiently without close supervision
- Receive and process feedback efficiently.
- Adapt and solve exciting problems with new technologies
- Keep up-to-date with developing technologies.
- Work closely with the rest of our Engineering team to identify, characterize and resolve issues in most efficient way
- Ensure the documentation and communication of your work
- Actively participate in various reviews to ensure test-ability and overall applications quality
Job Requirements
Qualifications
- University degree in computer science, software engineering or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years experience in web application development with PHP and MySQL
- 3+ years experience with JavaScript, CSS and HTML
- Familiarity with web frameworks like Laravel, CI, Kohana, CakePHP, etc. Must also have a proven ability to develop vibrant working relationships at multiple levels.
- Knowledge of open-source systems is a must, ideally Wordpress and Magento.
- Experience of MVC architecture is a must.
- Ability to dissect and resolve complex issues / bugs quickly without supervision.
- Good working knowledge of Internet technologies/architectures, Unix/Linux environments.
- Working knowledge of XML/JSON and using 3rd party API’s.
- Experience of using version controls (GIT, SVN, ..etc.)
- Experience with WooCommerce is a plus.
