Job Description
- Plan and provide leadership and supervision for HR operations and HR strategy.
- Supervise and leads the staff of the human resources division.
- Annually review and makes recommendations to executive management for improvement of the company’s policies, procedures and practices on personnel matters.
- Providing professional level advice and counsel to , Directors and managers across entire range of employee relations and organizational matters including performance assessment and management, labor relations, corrective actions, dispute resolution, compensation and classification; recruitment and retention; organizational structure and staffing, and administration of the company wage and salary program.
- Establish and/or recommend salary ranges, offers, and compensation adjustments and monitor salary reports for equity, compression or other issues.
- Consult with legal counsel as appropriate, or as directed by the Senior Director of Operations, on personnel matters.
- Work directly with department directors to assist them in carrying out their personnel matters.
- Develop and maintains a human resource system that meets the company’s personnel information needs.
- Monitor compensation and benefits program.
- Monitor the processing of payroll, workers compensation, leaves and performance assessment.
- Oversee the annual performance related pay process.
- Ensure that all other pay systems are implemented on time and bonuses/annual increases are communicated to staff and payroll
- Planning and facilitating mandatory and optional staff development, orientation and training programs, recruitment, and training and supervise the implementation.
- Application and management of all individual personnel and workforce management actions including hires, promotions/demotions/transfers, terminations and/or layoffs as necessary.
- Convey and develop employee and HR policies and procedures and code of conduct.
- Coordination and monitoring of all search, recruitment and hiring process, and develop recruitment process.
- Analyze training needs of staff and make recommendations on how these could be met.
- Provide the lead on relevant recruitment and selection processes for all levels of the company staff.
- Advise the Senior Director of Operations on forthcoming changes on employment law, ensuring that policies/procedures/working practices are amended in a timely manner.
- Attend and fully contribute to relevant committees of the company as requested.
- Ensure that accurate records are kept on current staff and that retention timescales are adhered to.
- Monitors producing all people related correspondence i.e. offer letters, contracts, disciplinary and grievance letters, etc.
- Monitor employee attendance and ensure that systems are in place to deal with sickness, family leave, compassionate leave, etc.
- Management of all HR related processes i.e. probation, disciplinary, grievance, flexible working, harassment, appraisal, etc.
Job Requirements
- Males or Females
- A minimum of 7 years of experience out of which 3 years at least in same position .
- Substantial HR experience, preferably within an Pharmaceutical.
- Fully conversant and up to date with all aspects of employment law and HR best practices.
- Good judgment about when to use initiative and when to consult.
