Project Description
Speedball is the most recent ball & racket sport. It was invented in Egypt in 1961. It is based on hitting a ball with a racket as many times against the clock. The ball is fixed to a string which is fixed to a post in the center of the field. The current method of counting the number of hits a player scores is by manual counting through 2 referees and taking the average. The ball is very fast and the World record is 593 in 4 minutes. The objective of this project is to design, manufacture an automatic counter for the number of hits. Several options will be surveyed and tested, and the optimum solution will be used.
