Mechanical Vibrations Intern @ ASUGARDS

Project Description

A simple mechanical system consisting of a small machine mounted on elastic support is considered. The vibration and noise levels of the original system will be measured. The objective is to reduce vibrations and noise through vibration isolation and designing modified supports based on the noise and vibration measurements.

Scope of Work :

• Design a simple mechanical system.

• Measure the noise and vibrations generated from the designed machine.

• Find out suitable simple solutions to reduce the vibration amplitudes and the output noise.

• Inspect the efficient number of isolators.

• Re-measure the noise generated from the machine after correcting it.
