Job Description

Principles Accountabilities:

Sales:

  • Achieve the targeted Revenue and GP margin by driving customer breadth, product mixing, regional coverage and coverage of all customer segments.
  • Keep updated with latest product information and technical requirements to sell the product successfully and give confidence to the reseller channel.

       Enquiry:

  1. Check profitability of possible deal
  2. Safeguard Company's interests - Studying the customer’s background, past history and informing Finance department accordingly

Quotation

  • Quote the customer within four working hours and follow-up on the quote to close this customer’s enquiry thereafter.
  • Quote the customer in 2 working days if the quote requires expertise or vendor approval.
  • Be professional in approach and abide by the company’s rules and regulations.

       Orders

  1. Coordinate and follow-up order processing (placing orders to vendors, shipping, closing invoicing...) 
  2. Ensure that orders are processed on time and as per agreement with customer (reseller) 

Reports:

  • Submit to business unit manager sales plan of pipeline, forecast and business closed on beginning of the every week.
  • Submit a monthly sales report, forecast for next month and a lost business opportunities report on 1st of every of the month to business unit manager for assigned region.
  • Monitoring performance customers on a daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly basis and providing information to the respective business unit manager regularly as an update on your territory
  • Maintain close relations with the PM &  BUM on pipeline, leads and projects in your region

Database Analysis:

  • Analyze the customer database in assigned region, in order to identify new opportunities and growth strategies for assigned region.
  • Projection of sales and survey of customers buying plans
  • Meeting with all top key Accounts in the assigned territory database to discuss areas of improving relations/business.
  • Understanding the nature of the customers’ business, business cycle and business potential.
  • Identifying the factors/ extent of business loss & working out solutions to resolve these issues for future.
  • Maintain a categorized and updated database in iScala /e-Shop at all times.

Marketing & Sales Planning:

  • Communicate to the customers regularly any promotions/ special offers in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist business unit manager in creating and updating Customer Loyalty Programs and communicate same to key business partners
  • Feedback market information on competitors’ activity, product availability and pricing to the PM
  • Prepare sales plan on top 10 - 15 customers (per country) and submit to business unit manager every qtr.
  • Implement and execute the plan for top 10 - 15 (per country) customers
  • Be aware of Aptec position in the market and the value added services we offer and to communicate this to the channel effectively. Providing information to the line manager on the performance of the region regularly.

Vendor and Reseller Relations:

  • Develop, execute, & maintain good relations with the reseller channel in assigned region.
  • Attend vendor training and in house training as and when required
  • Follow up with Channel to ensure their sales team is up to date on products (Sales Certification) – if applicable

  • Escalate any customer complaints issue th

Job Requirements

  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Basics grounding of the technical nature of IT products
  • Good analytical skills
  • Excellent PC skills including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Self-starter, self-motivated and a team player
  • Attention to details, good selling on the telephone and time management skills,
  • Good planning and self-organizing skills
  • Customer orientated, approachable.

Preferred:
  • Multi-taker and works well under pressure
  • Driving license
  • Multinational experience

KRA’s (Key Result Area’s) (‘output’ not the activities/tasks):
  • Achieve targeted revenue and gp margin
  • Develop Database or channel partners in order to find new customers and increase volume of business with existing ones.
  • Report to respective business unit manager the results and actions - on closed business/ and submitting a forecast for forthcoming month and lost business listing out valid reasons.
  • Implement and execute Customer by Customer plan for assigned database and region in order to improve inactive accounts and create new business opportunities
  • Customer Relations: Develop, execute and maintain good relation with the reseller channel in assigned region in order to make Aptec first choice company to deal with
  • Product Knowledge: Keep updated with latest product information and basic technical requirements in order to sell product successfully and provide confidence to the reseller channel
