Job Description
- Develop & propose the annual transport operating & capital budget to ensure an adequate transport service can be provided to meet the company’s needs.
- Prepare the Fleet Policies & Procedures & cost effective schedules to ensure the best use is made of the transport vehicle assets.
- Ensure that the entire fleet of transport vehicles is maintained in good working condition so that they can be used without any major disruption of the business requirement.
- Provide replacement vehicles on time as needed by the business.
- Ensure that the licenses of drivers, registration of vehicles & insurance is renewed on time for uninterrupted service.
- Ensure that the vehicles are available whenever required & are loaded timely so that the company's product can be delivered to the customers on time.
- Organize emergency delivery of products when required by the business.
- Organize & supervise the activities & work of all staffs in the Fleet section to ensure that all work is carried out in an efficient & procedurally compliant manner.
- Develop the required systems & processes needed to ensure that the highest standards of Fleet Management are maintained to meet all statutory & company requirements & standards
Job Requirements
- Bachelor degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in FMCG Fleet Management or a Van Sales Distribution Company.
- Initiative and Proactive.
- Works under Pressure.
- Results-oriented.
- Excellent verbal /written communication skills.
- Extremely organized and highly motivated.
