Job Description
- Plan, install, build, manage, support, configure, secure and test Web logic infrastructure components and connectivity
- Provide primary Web logic administration, configuration, and troubleshooting of the web environment and performance issues
- Analyze statistics to identify and resolve network problems. Stay abreast of operational support technologies and industry trends
- Assist in the planning and execution of disaster recovery fail over testing
- Perform 24x7 on call duties on a rotation basis with the other Web logic administrator
- Configure Web Logic Server's authentication provider
- Backup and restore a Web Logic Server domain, Create a Web Logic Server domain, Create and configure a Web Logic Server cluster
- Support multiple Web logic 11g Servers and J2EE applications in a High Availability environment
- Support J Developer ,ADF, and Web Services
- Perform and automate and manual application deployments
- Key participant in the ongoing design, implementation, configuration, optimization, and support of complex Middleware solutions
- Perform scheduled maintenance. Patching and security compliance
- Work with development, build, and operations team to provide project support
- Document and automate processes within the hosting environment
- Provide troubleshooting and technical support services for web infrastructure
- Perform proactive capacity planning, including short term and long-term trend analysis, ensuring all infrastructure components are monitored for capacity and stability
- Demonstrate good time management and prioritization skills, take a proactive approach to improving services, and have an innovative and keen interest in learning new technologies
- Define and integrate current best practices (technical, security, process) in server infrastructure solution analysis and definition
- Debugs issues that arise with the performance of the applications
- Work on tickets, changes, incidents, requests, problems and projects.
Job Requirements
- Proficiency in managing and administering Oracle Weblogic Server
- Strong WebLogic Administration with expertise in Installation, Configuration, Tuning, Troubleshooting and Deploying application
- Solid understanding of Java Virtual Machine (JVM) internals – understanding Java Heap and garbage collection tuning, ability to diagnose run time issues via JVM thread dump analysis, ability to diagnose memory issues via Java Heap dump analysis
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Experience with shell scripting
- Experience with UNIX / Linux operating systems.
