Job Description

We’re looking for a technically savvy customer service oriented professional who can balance rapid delivery with accurate results to consistently meet NHR’s world-class standards. As a pre-sales engineer you will provide technical pre-sales guidance to our internal and external customers, answering complex questions on the function and usage of NHR’s products. In addition, you will work closely with our sales and business development teams to provide technical solutions/requirements for new customers. The successful candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment delivering rapid AND accurate results, communicating with stakeholders, and meeting the needs of our diverse customers and requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates as a member of a sales support or account team by participating in customer presentations as the technical expert.
  • Determines technical requirements to meet client goals and acts as the liaison between NHR's sales/business development and engineering groups.
  • Responds to RFIs or RFPs from current or potential customers with technical details of proposed solutions.
  • Coordinates the transition between pre-sales specifications and implementation engineering upon the awarding of contracts.
  • Provide technical solutions for a host of small and medium sized business clients.
  • Participate in sales supported customer calls, emails and Instant Messages.
  • Configuration of Cisco Product: Work with other Technicians and Sales Associates to determine proper configurations for specific networking equipment needs.
  • Strong product knowledge and ability to provide technical specifications to customers.
  • Continued education regarding different OEM's including certification requirements.
  • Drive adherence to company policy and departmental procedures.
  • Deliver industry leading customer service to both internal and external customers.
  • May perform other duties as directed

Job Requirements

Professional Qualities and Experience

  • Minimum of two (2) years of IT industry experience in engineering/information systems designing, deploying and supporting small to medium sized networks utilizing Cisco routing, switching and security equipment.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or other technical discipline preferred, or equivalent combination of education and work experience in engineering or information systems.
  • Experience in a technical call center environment preferred
  • Industry certifications such as CCNA or CCNP

Personal Qualifications

  • Excellent customer service skills in high pressure situations
  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills to work effectively with internal and external customers
  • Excellent problem solving skills where problems may be complex or hard to diagnose
