Job Description:
- Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Corporate Accountant handles the accounting, financial reporting and audit compliance for the company’s corporate entities.
- This position will work closely with newly acquired companies to solve unique accounting challenges that arise.
- The Senior Corporate Accountant will be responsible for all aspects of corporate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, bank reconciliations and other analyses as needed.
- The corporate accountant also participates in cost center financial analysis and various ad-hoc accounting and reporting projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Own financial accounts for 10-15 acquired companies.
- Co-ordinate close, ensure completeness and accuracy
- Perform monthly and quarterly reviews of significant balance sheet accounts
- Analyze, maintain, and update corporate ledger accounts - working closely with accounts receivable, accounts payable and treasury teams
- Function as an integral member of company's Finance and provide insight and perspective on the overall operation and strategy of the finance department.
- Manage cash balances
- Assist with preparation of budgets
- Coordinate with other accountants for intercompany activity and consolidated reporting
Job Requirements
Required Experience and Education:
- Advanced level of accounting knowledge
- 5+ years of corporate accounting experience
- Accounting degree from top University
- Proficient written and spoken English (bonus if fluent in French)
- Excellent MS Excel skills
- Experience with Intacct a bonus.

Total Compensation is US $30,000 per year (cash), paid hourly for the standard, 40 hour work week ($15/hour).
