Job Description
- Follow up the institutional and personal memberships in order to ensure that the author and/or institution are active or take the required action
- Follow up the customer balances to validate or adjust the payments
- Resolve valid or authorized deductions by entering adjusting entries
- Resolve invalid or unauthorized deductions by following pending deductions procedures
- Follow up with the Subscription Team to know the authors who requested subscriptions or reprints in order to record their invoices on the financial system
- Record reductions to adjust the revenue as to be reflected correctly in the financial statements
- Receive invoices and analyze them to determine the percentage of revenue and unearned revenue
- Deposit cash to be reflected in the corporation’s bank account
- Perform bank reconciliation in order to analyze and adjust any difference between the cash balance shown on a bank statement and the amount shown in the financial statement
- Analyze revenues to determine the income gained by the corporation from its business activities
- Review the revenues quarterly to verify totals and prepare reports
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Excellent command of both written and spoken English
- 1-2 years of related experience
- Knowledge in any accounting system is a plus
