Job Description
- Configure and support the day-to-day system management tasks such as trouble-shooting, backup management and performance tuning.
- Maintain system stability, performance monitoring, security, and storage capacity requirements.
- Responsible for installing and configuring large SharePoint Farms
- Install and maintain Plug-ins, Features, Web parts, Templates and custom software.
- Work with developers to deploy custom applications and solutions to production and pre-production environments.
- Communicate effectively with business unit colleagues, clients, and technology team members in support of SharePoint environment planning, deployment, and operational support.
- Provide on-call support for SharePoint in rotation with other team members.
- Identify hardware and software platform issues and work with System Admins to implement proper patches and updates.
- Provide performance tuning and recommend performance improvements.
- Create and manage a backup plan for critical SharePoint data.
- Assist with Disaster Recovery/Continuity of Operations planning and testing.
- Guide and help other SharePoint Admin team members as needed.
- Work to continuously enhance Security/Compliance/Audit processes.
- Under guidance, may participate in analysis and application design.
- Comply with the Co. policies regarding security of information, safety, quality standards and business conduct standards.
- Assume additional responsibilities as assigned by the direct manager or supervisor
Job Requirements
- 2 years-experience in supporting Microsoft SharePoint projects is must
- Highest level of written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in deploying, configuring and customizing SharePoint 2010/2013
- Experience in full lifecycle development, preferably on large projects
- Experience in using PowerShell.
- Experience with relational databases including SQL Server (2008+)
- Experience in deploying custom web services to SharePoint environments
- As a strong .NET and SharePoint administrator, we expect the candidate to know when to adopt strict adherence to SDLC over Rapid development and expect to have experience in deciding when to use Staging / Test environments versus production. SharePoint installation, configuration and administration disciplines supports advanced solution delivery strategies. We expect senior candidates to have strong experience in this area.
- Experience in administering and deploying custom workflows in SharePoint designer and Visual Studio in SharePoint 2010/2013.
- SharePoint and/or .NET/Microsoft certifications are desired.
