Job Description
Are you an experienced software engineering manager with great hands on programming chops?
We are looking for elite development managers who are excited about maximizing developer productivity and driving leading edge software engineering management practices. We need you to manage delivery of about 5 software engineering teams. Come work with top global talent on big time enterprise apps for Fortune 500 companies in a career-building environment, where inventiveness and entrepreneurial drive are rewarded. It's 100% remote, work from home, with minimal meetings, where you have a say in when you put in your 40 hours most effectively each week.
Responsibilities:
- Break product management created specifications into tasks and timelines and assemble the results into high value reusable components
- Lead and evaluate 4-6 teams of 3-4 people each
- Enforce daily quality processes including test cases for every change, nightly builds and regression test runs, and consistently improving static code quality metrics
- Release improvements to production every week
Total compensation is US$50/hr for a full-time, 40-hours work week.
Job Requirements
Experience
- Spent 5 years in hands-on Java or .NET programming
- Spent 5 years in a hands-on individual contributor role before managing multiple teams'
- Recent experience with DevOps and Cloud architecture. We live in the Cloud
- BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
