Job Description
- Installs and\ or upgrades applications servers, tools and software's.
- Applies patches, as required.
- Allocates system storage and plans future storage requirements for the database system.
- Monitors and optimizes the performance of the database
- Maintains archived data on tapes
- Plans and performs backup, recovery and maintenance.
- Works closely with application consultants and\or support centers and end-users to resolve technical issues.
- Designs, implements and tests disaster recovery procedures.
- Monitors and administers concurrent processing and concurrent programs.
- Maintains application login ID's and application access responsibilities.
- Plans release upgrades (Technical Scope)
- Monitors and reports audit trail data.
- Administers and monitors server security
- Prepares a weekly activity report and submits it to the Applications Manager.
Job Requirements
- Education : High Degree
- Languages : very good command of English
- Experience : 4-6
- Skills : very good knowledge of Oracle Database Administration
- very good knowledge of SQL and PL\SQL
- very good analytical skills
