Job Description

Post : Commercial Manager  (Head of Business Development)
Function / Area : Sales Management and Marketing
Reporting to : Chief Executive Officer.
Accountability Sales and marketing management.

Job Purpose :

  • Visit clients and attend tenders and continues the work of departments involved until anchoring the project.
  • The development of the company's business and increase sales by enabling the company to get the business opportunities that meet the strategic objectives of the company in terms of the expansion of the penetration required fields and slide the target clients in the field of metal structures in order to achieve targeted sales and desired profits, and build long-term relationships with customers and strategic stakeholders affecting the industry.
  • Develop and follow up marketing and sales plans


Job Details :

  • To visit clients and consultancy offices and large companies and industrial zones.
  • To constantly reviews reports received by the management and study technical and financial offers.
  • To selects the projects, clients and visit these entities for the purpose of the continued presence among customers.
  • To review projects before they are delivered to the Technical Office needed to work in terms of the work of a few or re-design or preparation of drawings by the nature of the project.
  • To review contained the Technical Office before the start of the study
  • To review the financial and technical proposals prior to submission to the clients, and then follow the customer after the submission of the bid until anchoring the project.
  • To attend tenders exhibitions and seminars related to sales.
  • To prepare contract for the Executive Director for approval
  • To follow-up on Payments through the whole process also consistently assure customer satisfaction by follow-up through implementation within factory sites. Or the construction site.
  • To helps Management engineers achieving management objectives and helps Department Engineers to achieve goals
  • To participates in meetings to determine the annual objectives of the company, and sets the strategic objectives of management and also includes the annual budget including all local and regional business, and approved by the Chief Executive.
  • To develop full Business Development  procedures manual, with relevance to local & Regional projects
  • To negotiates and maintains relationships with strategic decision makers as consultants and other important institutions the offer bids in the market of Engineering and Construction , and report business progress on monthly basis
  • To manage  sales team in the preparation of a market survey plans for business opportunities throughout clients periodic visits, and pursue the implementation, and review their own reports and submit them to the superiors for review.
  • To evaluates and recognizes the opportunities & potential construction projects, and analyse business development and projects inside and outside the company, and raises its own direct reports to the director, to enable them to understand and implement the required designs.
  • To  take appropriate action in time to deliver the potential studies for the management of tenders, making sure to complete and clarity of all customer data and previous business of their own and the proposed pricing strategies so as to facilitate the bidding process.
  • To continuously tracks & review work progress with all the customers and bids status and coordination with Engineering & Project Management Departments and ensure customer satisfaction and continues collaboration in future projects
  • To make sure to update required for the development of business documents, which include the company's data and previous business and market studies, and oversees the preparation of marketing materials and campaigns to raise awareness and publicize the activities of the company as well as bulletins on the manufacturer's web site.
  • To study business opportunities in foreign markets (within Management strategic objectives) and make the necessary foreign visits, and build relationships with their stakeholders.
  • To present within the quarterly meeting of the emerging success and the expected risk factors that may affect the achievement of planned objectives, and suggests alternative methods to ensure the achievement of the desired goals.
  • To provide recommendations for the Project Management function to handle customer complaints & Follow up and ensure effective communication between internal and external stakeholders
  • To conduct timely performance review/appraisals to his/her subordinates in the immediate time, to assure results are efficiently and objectively.
  • To follow-up / execute Training

Job Requirements

Job requirements (academic qualification and practical experience)

  • Bachelor of Engineering. + higher studies in Business Administration Or Bachelor of Business Administration with previous work in the same field
  • A total experience of 5-10 years.
  • Experience in the same area of not less than two years
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications: Word /Excel & PowerPoint.
