Job Description
- Provide technical support for the database environment to ensure the development and organization of the databases, assessment, and implementation of new technologies
- Create and monitor the databases availability as well as their backups to ensure the stability of applications
- Monitor disk space to ensure that the SQL servers won’t run out of disk space
- Provide and design tools to assist in the management of the database and transaction processing environment
- Provide a working model of our transaction processing environment for capacity assessment and planning
- Assess the database current performance in order to ensure that it is meeting the standards in addition to identifying any occurred problems
- Develop a security scheme for the database environment to protect it as well as to assist in its recovery, if necessary
- Work with the IT team to build the logical database area and provide technical guidance during all phases of the development process
- Work with vendors to evaluate and implement new technologies
Job Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a senior position
- Other Qualifications: T-SQL development and troubleshooting. Experience with ETL.
- Experience with table and index partitioning.
- Experience installing, configuring, and operating database monitoring tools
