Job Description
- Manage Department of projects manager Ensure the implementation of the following responsibilities and coordination of work between the project managers and the rest of the sections
- Receiving client's projects/jobs/quotations and analyzing the requirements.
- Defining the scope of the project.
- Confirming the receipt of each request in a timely manner.
- Communicating internally & externally if necessary to create the project's prospect team members (internal stakeholders)
- Informing the client of the internal proposed process and plans to meet the requirements and deliverables.
- Solving any internal or external conflicts that may occur among the resources of the running project in order to meet the delivery date with the expected quality.
- Communicating with the internal departments (translation, LE/DTP, VM, Finance, IT) to run the different phases according to the project's nature.
- Recording the project's data in our status sheet/online system Projetex 9 and tracking the progress accordingly.
- Following up on the POs and matching them with our internal system/records
- Delivering the POs "clients" & invoices "freelancers" to the finance after confirming the rates and total amounts.
- Assuring the customer satisfaction throughout the whole project process and following up with daily/weekly progress reports or conference calls.
- Maintaining a healthy internal fruitful relation with our in-house and freelance resources to keep our production house stable and ready for challenges.
- Attending conference calls and training sessions with the reviewers and language leads to assure that the latest client's instructions are followed.
- Making sure that all the resources are using up to date TMs (Translation Memories), Glossaries, and style guides of the on-going project/account.
- Following up every 2 weeks at least on old customers with less working flow than their usual to guarantee a stable business relationship and solve any possible negative feedback which could have lead to seizing projects from us.
Job Requirements
Education and Knowledge
- Bachelor's Degree (localization, business, linguistics, or with equivalent experience)
- Solid in-depth knowledge of internationalization and localization
- Minimum of 3 years of experience directly related to project management (preferably in the localization industry) or masters degree preferred
- Fluency in non-English language (desired)
Skills and Abilities
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- + 4 years experience
- Excellent presentation/communication skills, with the ability to clearly present the localization life-cycle to clients
- Organizational and leadership skills
- Proven abilities in project planning, resource and risk management
- Problem-solving capabilities
- Quality and detail-oriented
- Strong team player in a multi-language/multi-cultural environment
- Self-starter and pro-active
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines under pressure
- Knowledge and Interest in continuing to learn and identify new technologies and new tools
- Proficiency in translation memory tools
- Hands on experience with Globalization Management Systems
- Solid understanding of database concepts and data manipulation
- Strong understanding of statistical analysis
- Ability to create macros or other task automations a big plus
- Advanced Excel skills a big plus (formulas, pivot tables, macros, lookup tables, etc.)
