Job Description

Job Family Responsibilities:
  • Completes and/or leads/directs others in the design of complex systems that integrate hardware and software.
  • Completes complex material specifications, schematic preparation and appropriate follow-up. Accountable for the recommendations of ideas related to productivity improvement, cost reduction and improvement in customer satisfaction.
  • Performs complex, technical interchange and knowledge transfer for both processes and application of products to system design.
  • Mentor and leader for more junior engineers.

  • Performs full range of standard work for the professional field.
  • As needed, professionally refers complex, unusual problems to others. 
  • Identifies and resolves more complex problems and applies problem-solving skills in order to deal with most situations.

Job Requirements

  • Automation Control Engineers with 2-7 years of experience in Allen Bradley /Siemens/Schneider PLCs are required.
  • Very Good English is required
  • Expected Travel outside Egypt +30%

Specific Experience:

  • Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC’s) is required
  • Expertise in the latest Allen-Bradley Logix and/or Schneider Electric (Modicon) /Siemens is preferred, however other PLC platforms will be considered.
  • Experience in HMI/SCADA programming is highly beneficial (Iconics, Wonderware, RSView, WinCC, etc.)
  • Candidates must demonstrate a working understanding of design, layout and use of networks and network architectures; such as devicenet, profibus, ASi, Ethernet.
  • Candidates should have current experience with the rigors of on-site startup/commissioning.
  • Candidates should have the capability to develop and/or follow a project plan, with demonstrated ability to set and meet milestone dates.
  • Demonstrated ability for design work is required including the ability to work proficiently within the ACADE environment.
  • Experience with design of material handling solutions is desired
  • Experience in writing descriptions of operations and development of controls based physical layouts is required
  • Demonstration of interpersonal skills, along with experience with the ability to mentor and direct others is a must.
  • Willingness to work weekends, overtime and to travel 30 – 40% is required.
  • Candidate should possess a willingness to work from high heights and work using lifts.
