Dynamics AX Functional or Technical Consultant
We are looking for Consultant who will play the Onsite Delivery Coordinator role for Dynamics AX engagements delivered to customers in GCC.
The focus would be on working with customers on projects across GCC. This position involves high amount of travel (up to 75% of time), as the Onsite Delivery Coordinator is expected to be present at Customer locations during critical phases of solution development.
The Dynamics AX consultant applies advanced analysis skills and experience in the domain of ERP solutions to define appropriate customer solutions, to develop detailed solution architecture and estimates for customer implementations.
The candidate should be proficient in Solution design; application configuration.
The candidate should have intimate knowledge of ERP business processes and possesses strong Analytical and problem-solving skills combined with demonstrated result-driven approach in all ERP implementation related endeavors.
Job Requirements
Key Accountabilities:
- Present the face of offshore to customer effectively by building trust in offshore activities and competencies (alleviating time zone and cultural differences)
- Educate customers on solution development in distributed delivery model
- Gather business requirements from Customers and analyze with Offshore team
- Work closely with MCS and Global Delivery Architects in developing solution architecture and design
- Manage technical communication between the customer team and offshore team to support offshore activities
- Follow established delivery process and leverage associated tools for requirements elicitation, architecture, design and development
- Coordinate tasks that facilitate smooth workflows
- Identify and escalate potential issues and risks to Onsite and Offshore Project Manager
- Evaluate best practices, pattern technologies, perform POC, quick assessment
- Be Flexible, Adaptable, Agile and act fast on all day to day task and deliverables.
- Identify risks and notify stakeholders on options/solutions/help wanted/challenges from the customer side
- Requirement clarifications, review/walkthrough of deliverables with customers, deployment of solution to customer QA environments, first hand troubleshooting/debugging of issues reported by customer before engaging offshore team, etc.
- Add value in every step & build strong relationship with key stakeholders
- Ability to comprehend customer’s mind and adapt to the situation
- Successful candidates would typically have one or more of these qualifications:
Required skills
- AX 2009/AX 2012 Is a Must
- Good understanding ERP Business Processes
- Industry vertical knowledge - (any one) Retail/Manufacturing/ Distribution/ PSA/Supply Chain etc.
- Proficient in minimum 3 modules (Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing/Lean, Professional Services, HRMS, Production etc.)
- Create Functional Solution blue print
- Capture detailed requirements by Process and by Role
- Test case preparation and Functional testing
- Ability to conduct workshops and seminars
- Strong process knowledge and documentation skills
Work experience should involve technical consulting, solution design, project envisioning, planning, development, deployment, and management, leveraging remote delivery model.
Candidates must have a deep understanding of multi country markets
Candidates must have deep understanding of customer and partner business and IT environment, and have demonstrated skills creating architecture and deploying technology to solve business problems.
Be flexible in working hours - work extended hours to overlap with offshore team (e.g. ready to take late evening, early morning calls)
