Job Description
- Monitor regular daily database operations including; problem resolution, performance monitoring, and tuning…etc to ensure proper work operation.
- Supervise the production system on-call rotation to ensure proficiency.
- Test and document database installations, upgrades and configuration standards to ensure alignment.
- Tune databases to optimize performance to ensure high level of performance.
- Responsible for the performing and maintaining required capacity plan to provide proper support.
- Review the Implementation of security measures to safeguard databases against accidental or unauthorized damage, modification or disclosure.
- Supervise Maintaining databases operation procedures to ensure alignment with company policies and procedures.
- Monitor policies, procedures and standards relating to database management including backups and disaster recovery to ensure compliance.
- Responsible for deploying backup and ensure the ability to restore.
Job Requirements
- University degree in any discipline (Computer science preferable).
- 3+ years of relevant experience in Oracle Database and Applications.
- Experience in using Oracle Support site (Mitalink).
- Previous experience in Oracle Application is a must.
- Knowledge of SQL server will be a plus.
- Experience of Microsoft SQL-Server 2005/2008 is a plus.
- Strong understanding of Database structures and administration.
- Solid experience authoring complex database queries.
- Knowledge of network architecture, configuration management is appreciated.
