Key Responsibilities:
- Support in routine microbiological testing, in-process samples, and finished products following established procedures and protocols.
- Conduct environmental monitoring and swabbing to ensure cleanliness and adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Assist in the preparation and sterilization of media, reagents, and equipment used in microbiological testing.
- Support documentation activities by accurately recording and maintaining test results, laboratory notebooks, and other relevant records.
- Participate in laboratory investigations and root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely sample collection, testing, and release of products.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, including calibration, verification, and routine maintenance as required.
- Adhere to safety guidelines, maintain a clean work area, and follow proper waste disposal procedures.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory requirements, and advancements in microbiological testing techniques.
Internship Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of microbiological testing techniques and aseptic laboratory practices.
- Familiarity with GMP and FDA regulations preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Proactive and eager to learn new techniques and concepts.
- Prior experience in a laboratory setting or relevant coursework is a plus.
